Labour Seanad spokesperson on Agriculture Senator Susan O’Keeffe has welcomed the announcement of the opening of iNet, the Department of Agriculture’s online application facility for the Single Payment scheme.
iNet has been in operation since 2007 and has been opened for 2012. This is the earliest opening of iNet since its launch. 54,000 applications where submitted through iNet in 2011.”

“The Minister has allowed that newly created habitats created under the REPS 3 or 4 programmes where farmers wish to retain such a habitat after they exit the Scheme, they can apply to have it designated as a landscape feature under the Single Payment Scheme, thereby ensuring that the area concerned retains its eligibility under the Scheme.”
